This project is an exciting way to review expressions and equations for 7th and 8th grade students. It can be used as a group or individual assessment. Students will be creating expressions and equations whose answers, when simplified or solved, provide the calendar date. In addition, project requirements outline inclusion of distributive property, fractions, decimals, integers, exponents, square roots, variables, and parenthesis. It's a great way to review/assess many concepts. Included in the file are instructions for the project, a responsibility log for group work and a grading rubric. Email me if you would like to see some student examples.

I purchased the expressions and equations calendar project. Can you please send me a sample of student work? When you assigned this project you gave each group how many dates for each group?
