Are you looking for a fun book to engage your students in reading practice?? This book would be great in the last few weeks of school, but the subject of ice cream is always appropriate in early childhood classrooms!!!
This packet includes a printable emergent reader, following the pattern "I like to eat _____ ice cream." Flavors featured include chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, orange, banana, mint, and grape. There is also an optional page with the frame "I love to eat ______ ice cream." for students to choose their favorite kind of ice cream.
Also included is a cover page and a student page for a class book entitled "We Love Ice Cream." There are cards with the flavors from the book that can be posted to help students complete this class book or to use in the writing center.

I am just starting to teach English to some adults from Bhutan at our church. This will be a wonderful resource as they seem to know the word "ice cream" and we just introduced colors last week. Thanks so much!
