This FREE file has independent practice for the -at word family. It is designed to be used four days a week, with a different activity for each day. On Monday, students read the words and cut/glue the pictures to match. On Tuesday, they cut/glue letters to make words. On Wednesday, they write words from the word family, as well as 3 review words from previous weeks. On Thursday, they write words again and choose one word to use in a sentence. This resource is ready to copy and use tomorrow!!
This file is part of a LARGER file which focuses on 26 common short vowel word families. Your students will grow as readers, writers, and spellers as you use these worksheets. They make great morning work, centers, literacy stations, or homework; they can also be used during Working with Words time if you use Daily Five in your classroom. They are designed for a kindergarten classroom, but could also be used for advanced preschool students or as a review in early first grade.
