Teaching students about multiple intelligence theory can be very empowering, especially
when you administer a survey to help them find out their own strengths. But most online
survey tools are too long and complex for kids. So I created the quick and easy classroom
version on page 3 of this packet. I included an example of a completed survey on
page 4 so you can see how it works. You'll also find a link to a video that explains exactly how to administer and score the survey.

I downloaded this MI activity from Laura's website a few years ago. I use it when we read The Giver. It is a quick activity and very easy to use. I love this handout. In my opinion, Laura makes the BEST handouts and activities. I love the clear directions and ease of use! Thank you for all you do.

I am using this tool to do a checkup with my girls that I homeschool. Sometimes I am surprised because I think I know all about them but a survery such as this one shows me a whole new side of my children. Thank you!

Thanks! You are so right about thinking that we know kids and then learning so much more when we use a survey. Just remember that the results are not scientific or anything - the survey is designed to help kids learn more about themselves so they can better understand their own learning preferences.
