This FREE packet includes three practice pages for students to sort both 2-d and 3-d shapes. On one page, students sort circles and triangles, while on another, students sort cones and cylinders. On the last page, students must sort squares and cubes, noticing which are flat and which are solid shapes.
I hope you find these practice pages useful in your classroom. If you do, you might like my other shape mini-units. Each one is around 40 pages; one focuses on 2-d (flat) shapes and the other focuses on 3-d (solid) shapes. Click here for the 2-d shapes mini-unit and click here for the 3-d shapes mini-unit.

Melissa, I love this freebie. Just one suggestion -have the triangles (the top) point in several different directions as I have had students who think triangles muist point up to be one. Also, you do not have your copyright info on any of the pages. Just something to think about.
Hi Melissa! I am entering your great CCSS items in to my Common Core Math Lessons site and while I am figuring out your images, they are taking me an extra step. No need to resubmit, but for future reference the image URL that you are sending me is actually heading ot your photo album. When you go to that page, there is a box in the lower left hand that has other links. You need to grab the one for "Direct Link" and enter that in the submission box as you will save me tons of time. Thanks so much! -Charity
I am so sorry! I will make sure that I do that next time; this was the first time I had used Photobucket and I didn't realize I was sending the wrong link. Thanks so much for organizing this site!!
