My kids at school have been running some awesome book clubs and I wanted to have a way to evaluate their effectiveness. This Rubric is meant to be used with my Book Clubs Made Easy Pack, however, I'm sure you could use it with your own book clubs.

*Check out my blog for more ideas and pics of things I do in my classroom. I have added some videos of my students conducting book clubs, and I have to say . . . AMAZING! Come and visit my blog and check out my YouTube Videos to check it out! You'll find lots of other goodies too!

Thank you! I wondered how these clubs were marked. Is it possible to change the levels to Level 1: Almost! Level 2:Getting There! Level 3: Got it! We don't put the level numbers on our rubrics but put these statements instead. When there is a level 4 we put, Wow! I just want to keep it the same for my kids. Would you mind? If you do, don't worry about it, I just thought I would ask. Thanks.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade...then began to loop with 2nd and 3rd graders. I absolutely loved looping! It was so exciting to watch the growth in those little buggers over a two year period....and talk about getting attached! Those little people, their families and I became very close. We stopped looping a few years ago when we changed principals. I'm trying to talk my new principal into letting me team teach with a friend....we just want to knock out one of the walls!
