I agree with Laura this is perfect to keep reviewing skills so students don't end up forgetting what you taught them before and you don't have to cram the information into them again. Even though it's 2nd grade standards, I do think it would be perfect as review for 3rd grade too!

Love this weekly math review packet! It's so important for students to review math skills throughout the year so that those skills become second nature. I found that providing weekly skill reviews kept me from having to spend so much time at the end of the year doing intensive reviews before state tests.

I bought the full set (1-4) of the 4th grade weekly math magic after looking at the preview. I was under the impression that the set would include the helpful hints posters as described in the free preview. Is this only for the second grade sets? If so it is possible the have access to them for the 4th grade sets to make it easier to start the program with my class? Below is the message in your preview.

I know you say the grades are 1st through 4th but the 2nd grade teacher at the school where I teach is going to switch to your math magic. It looks a little hard for beginning of the year 1st grade. Will you be making others that are grade specific? I would love to do them also!

I just posted set one. I have set 2-4 written but not published yet (very soon though!) The posters with the helpful hints are in the full download of set one. This level was written with the second grade standards in mind, but I think the first two sets could definitely be used in first. I am definitely going to work on other versions over the summer :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
