Could you explain how you use these in your room?

Hi there, I start out by doing the pages together, a few questions at a time, over the course of a week. Then gradually as the students become more confident with the skills, they become independent work or even a center activity. Here's a blog post that explains it a bit more as well: http://sunnydaysinsecondgrade.blogspot.com/2011/10/word-wizard.html Hope that helps!

I love these! I was wondering if the names of the types of sentences could be changed? We teach declarative, interrogative, etc. That would be so helpful!

That's no problem at all. I was wondering if that would come up, I know that different terms are used for that particular skill. If you email me at ShopSunnyDays@me.com I can send you new versions of the free ones and if you purchase the real sets, I can do the same for those as well :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
