It's a fun compound activity that would be great for small groups or centers this week. There are two parts, one consists of cards to cut which the kids will try to put together to form 10 winter compound words. Then there is an extension sheet that asks them to alphabetize and arrange the words in different ways. There's also a word search thrown in for good measure.

I'm still loving the items you create! The fonts and graphics you choose are exactly what I love!
I'd like to use this activity next week in some holiday centers I plan on using with my kiddos, and I was wondering if you'd fix something for me. On the sheet that goes along with the activity there are not enough spaces for the 2-syllable words and one extra space for the 3 syllable words. If you get a chance, I'd really appreciate it. If you can't get to it, that's okay! :)

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special.
