This is a great first day or first week of school activity for students entering the fourth grade. Give it for homework or take the class to the technology lab to research these questions about famous fourths. (i.e. What is the fourth planet from the sun?) It's a fun way to expose students to research as these 10 questions plus a bonus cover a variety of genres. It is a kind of scavenger hunt and students can work in pairs or groups if desired. It can help teach cooperative learning early in the year. There is also an answer key provided.
