This 36 page unit includes lots of writing, grammar and reading activities based around the science of weather. I use these items with my first graders, but many of the activities can easily be modified to be a little easier for the kinders and more challenging for 2nd graders.
It includes:
A writing and adorable photo/art activity based on the book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
An inference little book activity
Recipe for a cloud - which is a cloud and water cycle science & writing activity, plus the adorably cute chef craft.
A reader based on the seasons with accompanying activities for:
Noting Details
Compound Words
Adjectives
Change a Phrase activities for writing in complete statements and questions.
Fix-a-Sentence for sentence editing a fix a sentence practice.
This unit is perfect if you study weather, or if you just need some more ideas to add to your language arts block!

Very cute! When I downloaded it there was a problem with the recipe portion. Not all the words it on the line so one letter of a word was on the next line all by itself. Is it just my computer? Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi!
I'm so sorry. Thanks for letting me know about this problem. I have fixed it. Go ahead and re-download the unit. The recipe page should look/print correctly now. :D

I just bought your weather unit and it is too young for my group, is there anyway I can get a refund?
I'm sorry, because the files are digital and there is no way to truly return them, there are no refunds. For my "higher" learners, I always increase my expectations for writing lessons and still allow them to create the craft (because the kiddos LOVE doing that!). The pack is designed to work with K-2 students, but as with everything, you know your kids best and need to make adjustments to your lessons as necessary. Hopefully this is something you will consider with your kiddos.
I have taught primary for over 15 years. I am passionate about teaching literacy and try to incorporate it into all subject areas whenever possible. I enjoy creating things for the kiddos in my class and sharing those things with you.
