If you are looking for an engaging rhyming activity or game, this is for you! Using pictures/words from familiar fairy tales and nursery rhymes, children match the rhyme while playing dominoes. A rhyming pairs check sheet is included so the game becomes an independent center activity so the child can monitor his own learning. Research shows rhyming is an important precursor to reading which makes this such an important skill in the Early Childhood classroom.

Thank you so much for the feedback. On the last page of the packet there is a credits page which should give the places we got the clip art and frames. We got most of the clip art from Scrappin' Doodles - I think. It is an online clip art store. I will go back and look again and if there is another place I will edit this post.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

The Fun Factory is a team of two teachers with over 20 years classroom teaching experience in grades PreK through 4th grade. In addition, we have over 10 years experience as Early Childhood Specialists in the field of curriculum and professional development with a large urban school district which involved curriculum development and writing as well as district-wide teacher/administrator training. Presently, the Fun Factory teachers, Kathy and Susan, are independent consultants. Individually they have presented at local, regional, state and national conferences on such topics as Music and Movement, Thematic Planning and Teaching, Attention Deficit Disorder, Brain Based Instruction, Storytelling, Science and Math Concepts in Early Childhood, and Balanced Approach to Reading, to name just a few.
