Included in this packet are activities for graphing the Halloween or fall M&Ms -brown, yellow, red, and purple(or burgundy) that are for sale in stores during September and October. This packet includes sheets for estimating, tallying, graphing (bar graph and pie graph), making fractions and writing about M&M graph data. I've included a harder graphing sheet that asks students to use < > = to analyze their data and an easier version for 1st grade or lower that asks students to do addition with their data. There are also 2 versions of each of those graphs: one that counts up by 1's to 10 on the graph and a second version that counts up by 2's to 20 on the graph. Hopefully these choices make it easier for teachers to differentiate for the learners in their classrooms.

Valentine M&M Sorting, Tallying & Graphing
The fall packages (brown with fall leaves on them) have a color that looks a little more maroon this year than purple. In a quarter cup of M&Ms I only saw 1 or 2...so you won't see very many of them in the bag. I had to point them out to my students. Once they looked at them next to the dark red ones, they could see the difference. There were so few of them in the M&M bag that several of my students didn't end up with any of that color in their baggie. Let me know if you would like me to change the word to "Maroon" on the worksheets. I'd be glad to do that for you!

Great! I agree that because the graph only goes to 10, it doesn't always work, but my students just added additional mini boxes.
I've now added graphs that count by 2's, so be sure to go back and download the updated version

I loved this! I did add a pictograph to it. The only problem I had was the graphs only went up to 10, but my students had more M&Ms then would fit on the graph. I used the 1/4 cup suggested. I had them mark out the numbers and count by 2s instead.
