Make calendar math interactive on the SMARTboard with this notebook file. Valentine themed February activities include days of the week, base ten blocks, skip counting, counting money, expanded form, patterning, time and place value review and arrays. File also includes new "math blast" pages with interactive practice and relevant links to online game sites. You can easily edit the file to meet the needs of your students. This file also works great as a math center! Download the preview for a pdf to see each page.

Two comments and a question. Love the monthly calendars! Coud you please check questions 9 and 10? I think we get a different answer. Also, could you explain what you are intending for the clock and the day of school?? We don't understand how to put day 82 on the clock. Thank you!!

Hi there,
I can see the confusion for the clock one. By February we're past the 100th day, so it's a bit easier. If it's day 101, of course, it would just be 1:01. I would suggest either having them do 8:20. I hope that's not too confusing. If you would like me to replace that slide with other wording just let me know what you'dl like it to say and I'll send you another version.
As for question 9&10-definite mistakes! Thanks for telling me. Looks like I left off some 0's. Number 9 the answer should be 110, and in 10 the question should say 200 tens. You can change that yourself by hitting edit, but I will definitely post an updated copy tonight. I'm out of town with unreliable slooooow wifi, but we're heading home now so I can upload it a bit later. Please feel free to email me at ShopSunnyDays w/anything you might want me to change about that clock page. Thanks so much! :)

Hi. I am trying to download the math calendar and use it on my smartboard. I am only able to view as a PDF and it is not interactive. Would you please tell me how to download into my smartboard program?

Thank you.

It sounds like you're looking at the preview and not the actual Notebook download. Are you sure you're opening the file with the .notebook extension? It won't just automatically open as a pdf. Other than that, I'm not really sure what the problem is. I can try to send you the file directly if you still can't get it to open. Just email me at ShopSunnyDays@me.com and we'll figure it out :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
