Quick, easy, fun!
My students used these genre cards to classify books as we added them to our classroom library. I would do a 'book sell,' and students would hold up the corresponding card to identify the genre. Students were encouraged to justify their responses if they disagreed with one another. Cards were printed onto cardstock and kept with students' reading binders. Fun, easy activity -- one time prep lasts all year!
