Be a Common Core Superhero! Use this color coded checklist to document when you have taught to the fifth grade Common Core Standards.
Keep it with your lesson plans (or data notebook) so that you can write down when you have taught to the standard, or if you would rather, mark when you have assessed.
Also included is a cover page for you to write your name and year and cover pages for both Language Arts and Math.
(This is not a file where you can type or customize, but a file where you will print out the checklist.)
UPDATED 7/26/12-added a second set with a different font. See Table of Contents for page numbers to choose.
UPDATED 8/15/12-added the two other versions to have the super hero girls!

I like that this will help me keep track of what I've taught and what I still need to teach. I'm really trying to get organized this year...I want to work smarter so that I can do my best with the students.

This is definitely a great resource! I am thrilled to be able to keep track of my progress as I teach each standard. Thanks so much for creating such a useful document!!
Using it and finding it very helpful for both me and my students to track my instruction and their learning. When students have succeeded at all assessments for the standard they are writing "I can" above the standard (beside) the nmber.letter code. We are calling these are Superhero Checklists which are correlating perfectly with our schools opening attendance them! Thanks so much for this helpful tool!
My team is just going to FLIP when I show them this. OF course, I'm going to make them go and buy there own set. What a great way to reflect when I've taught the standards and what I may need to reteach. Great job, Angela!!

I have been teaching since 2001. The first 2 years I spent teaching full day kindergarten. Since then I have been teaching wonderful little 6-7 year olds in first grade!
