Hello. I have found some errors on the "Simile or Metaphor" page. The word lightning is misspelled as lightening, #15 "The nail is pillow" seems to be cut off, and punctuation is missing for #15, 17, 19, and 20. I'd love to use this page with my students with this corrected. Could you please let me know when it's corrected? Thanks so much!

Hi, Rachel- I love your packet! I have not gone through the whole thing yet, but I printed two metaphor worksheets to use with my students and have found some errors. It would be great to have corrected copies so I can use them. The two pages I printed are 9 and 12. Page nine has missing periods. Page 12 has missing words in sentences 4 and 15 and missing periods in a few of the sentences also. Any help is appreciated!

Rachel,
I bought your figurative language pack and nonfiction pack, and I have found a few typos in both when I used them with my students. The similes/metaphors section had a few missing periods and words. The similes intro page included a metaphor accidently, and on the glossary page at the bottom you left out a space for the definition. I am really pleased, but in the future when I use them, I do want a corrected version. If you change the file, will you notify so I can redownload? Thanks! Carla

Hi Rachel,
I gave feedback on the figurative language worksheets I just downloaded; however, when I went back and looked again I couldn't find the CC standards that I was sure I had seen on the preview I downloaded. Am I overlooking this page? If so, I will definitely look again! I know you have it listed on the resources page. Just wanted to follow up on that.
Thanks,
Nancy

Nancy,

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. This was completely my error and it has been fixed. The document with the standards is not loaded and you can download it on your purchase page. This is why I should NOT work late at night!

I would love to thank you for pointing this out to me. Please pick a free product - anything under $7 (or a few sets of task cards if you would prefer since they are less expensive) and send me an email at reallyrachel@gmail.com and I will send them your way.

Rachel

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Most of my teaching experience is with gifted and talented students in grades 2-4, though I have worked with children of all ages in general education classrooms as well. A few years ago I stopped teaching in order to write nonfiction children's books full time. Gradually over the last couple of years, my career has switched from writing to creating teaching materials here on Teacher Pay Teacher. I love creating teaching products (most recently task cards) and feel just as passionate about my work now as I did when I was teaching. I also love knowing that my products help thousands of teachers and reach tens of thousands of students.
