An awesome packet that covers all of the figurative language basics! I am using the pages for practice and the smaller posters for their interactive reading notebooks! I know these will be very helpful for my kids. Thanks so much!

Hi! Your materials are wonderful! I was just wondering if I buy the Figurative Language Challenge would buying the Idiom of the Week be superfluous? Either one looks as if it would benefit my very literal 8 year old daughter who has high functioning autism. (Sorry if this is a duplicate question! Had a computer hiccup the first time I tried to send it.) Thanks for any info! :)

Great question! I tried to use different idioms in the idiom of the week unit. I think she would benefit from both units since there are different activities in both. I hope and believe that the units would help your daughter as they offer explicit examples. I think the idiom of the week unit would be great to put on the fridge and then the figurative language unit offers some mire in depth activities. I hope this helps and came through since I am typing from my phone! :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Creating teacher resources has always been a passion of mine! When I began teaching in 1997, I immediately began designing materials and have been doing so ever since. When my husband who is also a teacher told me about TPT, I was so excited! I love Teachers Pay Teachers because it has given me a place to showcase my work and share with other teachers around the globe! It is exciting to know that students near and far are using my creations. That certainly inspires me to continue developing materials and collaborating with fellow teachers. Thank you for visiting my store and I hope you are not a panicked teacher!
