*Just updated to include hyperbole!

Students often have difficulty recalling the names and examples of various types of figurative language after they have been taught. Because they are so important to reading and writing in various genre, it is helpful to have them posted throughout the year. This pack of figurative language printable posters includes...

simile,
metaphor,
alliteration,
personification,
onomatopoeia,
hyperbole,
analogies,
idioms,
and imagery.

Each poster contains the title, meaning, and an example of the type of figurative language to help students remember what they look like in action. Use in conjunction with reading or writing instructional strategies.

Hi Chrissy,
Before i purchase these posters i just want to check what is on each one for spelling (especially the hyperbole).
I am in Australia and we use English English not American English eg tonne not ton.
Have checked the 4 examples and all looks good - just not sure about the other ones?

Hi Chrissy... I have a huge favor. I am using your Figurative Language Posters for my unit. They are great. If you ever get a chance, can you make one for Analogies please? I love the apple theme. The kids love it! Thank you so much!

Farah, I have added Analogies - please take a look at it and make sure it's what you're looking for. Thank you!

I would love to! Thanks for the suggestion. I will think about how to word it, and I'll contact you as soon as I do. Feel free to email me and nag me if I haven't done it soon! cbeltranphes@yahoo.com
