This is a 15 item test using the "shampoo" acronym for 7 types of figurative language, and focuses on Simile, Hyperbole, Alliteration, Metaphor, Personification, Oxymoron, and Onomatopoeia. Sudents will identify figurative language in phrases, sentences, advertising slogans, poems, and song lyrics. A key is included. This test is the perfect assessment to my figurative language powerpoint at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Figurative-Language-Powerpoint
Used it as a short review quiz before TCAPs and loved the concise questions....... also answer key and easy to grade. I was in a time crunch and will continue to use it next year. :)

Very good and easy test to check for understanding on figurative language. The only thing I had a problem with is that the very last question could go either way for a hyperbole or a metaphor.
