Fill It to the Brim is a very hands-on activity for primary students to experiment with capacity. They will choose either Tablespoon or Cup as the unit of measure, and then experiment with filling various containers to find out how much each will hold. There is an easy-to-follow directions card, a recording sheet, and a page with pictures of containers. Children work independently or with a partner to fill the containers of their choice. See the FULL product PREVIEW download for more detailed information on this activity that is a favorite with young children.
Created by Terry Palmieri, BZTeacher, this activity is one of many hands-on activities that can be used for individual practice or in a learning center.
