*Updated 3/24/13- added "I can" statements, a 2nd set of cards, and directions to use both sets in a center!*
This fun classroom or hallway hunt will get your students moving as they work to write and read contractions made from pronouns and verbs!
Just print and hang the 18 cards and 4 trick cards in the room or hallway and watch students go from card to card, writing down either contractions or the two words that make up given contractions.
There is also an 8.5" x 11" sign you can display during your study.
Please note that this file contains contractions with have/will/are.
Best for 2nd and 3rd grade. Supports 2nd grade CCSS 2.L.2a- use apostrophes to form contractions.
