Here is another wonderful resource for your calendar wall or math meeting. One of the student jobs that we have at our daily math meeting is to find the correct configuration of fingers on
the finger cards to match the days date. Depending on the grade level you teach and/or the time of year, you can have the cards joined together sequentially or randomly. I normally have them sequential for the first few months and then start mixing them up in order to keep my kiddos challenged. Regardless of what order you choose, they will be a wonderful additional resource for your calendar or math time.

Is there a Common Core Standard that correlates with finger/coin number configuration? I'm thinking creating a number in different ways?

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for over 30 years both in the United States and Internationally. I am currently doing a K-1 loop and LOVE teaching both Kinder and First Grade. My favorite part of my classroom day is watching my students using resources I have made and knowing how much they are learning while having so much fun.
