This file contains 3 items to help with the first day of school plus a mid-quarter binder check sheet (which I use to help students stay organized and to check some student work that isn't collected).
The items for first day include:
Biology Syllabus- includes topics by weeks, grading in brief, and how to organize the biology binder

First Day Bell Work Sheet- to assign students to their seats as they come in and have them get started immediately with work when the come in the door that is independent of you. Great for setting the tone on the first day, getting a feel for who is going to need some extra help following directions, and pre-assessing some of their science background.

Daily Bell Work/Exit Work paper- used for students to record the daily bell work and exit work for each day from the second day of school forward.
