Unit 12 of First Grade CORE Math Standards is an all inclusive 10 day math unit to address the new CORE math standards. This unit contains a teacher lesson plan for each day, a problem of the day workbook, math vocab cards for your math word wall, a guided practice page, a daily spiral designed review page and a unit assessment.
Units 9-12 are designed for 3rd quarter.
Topics covered in this unit are:
-Comparing Equations using greater than, less than and equal to
-Geometry - 3D shapes (cube, cone, cylinder, pyramid, sphere and rectangular prism)
-Geometry key words
-Numbers in Base Ten Review
-Double-digit addition
-Using addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems
-Math Facts
-Ten more, ten less, one more, one less
-Comparing three numbers with greater than, less than
-True false statements
-Number lines
-Graphing and Data Analysis
-Word problems that call for the addition or subtraction of three whole numbers.
-Adding and Subtracting multiples of 10

Love these units, the content is great!
I especially like the cut & Glue graph and all the pie charts to color. We get stuck in a rut of only doing tallies and bar graphs, so the pie charts are going to be new and fun for the kids to use.

We have been doing our number of the day with number puzzle, base ten blocks, expanded notation, etc. in spiral notebooks daily. Students love it! We correlate our number of the day to the number of days we've been in school. Will hit 50 this Friday!
