Ready to use substitute lesson plans for a complete school day! Everything is written for you! The activities are enganging and hands on. All you need to do is program (this is an electronic copy so go ahead and type before printing) the class schedule, the class procedures sheet and the content lesson time periods for your specific classroom so the sub knows when to do what. Then place the plans and a class roster in a folder on your desk. That's it! You can keep the plans on your desk for an emergency situation or use them for a scheduled absence. The only materials you need to make sure the sub and students have access to are everyday desk/tub items such as pencils, crayons, scissors, glue, writing paper, construction paper and a white board or chalkboard. You can pick and choose which lessons to include in your substitute folder for the day. This first grade level kit contains: The programmable information sheets, programmable class schedule, 45-60 minute reading lesson (fairy tale read aloud, phonemic awareness/phonics, story retell), 45-60 minute math lesson (creating/solving number stories), 30-45 minute writing lesson (class story), 30 minute spelling lesson (spelling game), 30 minute science lesson (sound hunt), 30 minute social studies lesson (classroom map), 30 minute art lesson (warm/cool colors), and 30 minute extension lesson (day review). The lessons are designed to be presented in a way consistent to the standard cycle of instruction. So, treat yourself and enjoy your day off! As teachers we all know the truth. It is honestly easier to go ahead and drag yourself into school when sick or cancel the long over due appointment than it is to plan for a substitute during an emergency or planned absent. As a teacher, you have an enormous amount work to do and content to cover. In addition, those of you working as subs, have the daunting responsibility of reporting into a brand new job each day without specific classroom information. These lesson plans were written for regular primary/elementary classrooms and substitute teachers. First Grade Day 2, Kindergarten, second grade, third grade and K-3 Spanish substitute lesson plans are also available on TpT.

Hi, I'm just staring out as a substitute for grades K-5 and I'm in need on many lesson plans. How does this system work. Once I pay I do I will I get an email with all the lesson or a PDF format? I'm a first time user getting on to this through google after trying to get some lesson plans. Can you please fill me in. Thanks so much.

My substitute lessons are purchased through the TpT website for specific grade levels and days. I have several different days for sale, but each day covers all classes (and more)that you would need for an entire day. You can preview the sample lessons for the day before purchasing. Thanks for looking!

Hi,
I was hoping you could help me with a refund on this item. I thought it was a new version when I purchased it and didn't notice the "You Own It!" bar. You know how it is, over worked teacher with too little sleep, I just wasn't paying attention. I would appreciate if I could be refunded for the cost since I don't need two of the same items.
Thank you,
Darren Redstone

Hello Darren - I don't know how to do refunds. It looks like you have to contact Paul E directly. Which day did you need instead of day 1? Shannon

Good morning, I have just purchased First Grade Elementary Substitute, Emergency Lesson Plans, Compl Day 1 for $5.00. I see that it says "YOU OWN IT", but I am embarassed to say that I am not sure where to find it! There is a icon that says "Download preview" but this does not show all of the pages (I hope). Can you tell me, please, where I can locate and use my new purchase.

Thank you,
