First Grade Social Studies PPT 2 Week Unit Family, Choices, Needs and Wants

This is a PPT presentation that correlates precisely with my First Grade Social Studies Plans 2 Week Unit. Easily adaptable for Kindergarten and Second Grade. Included are slides on the following topics: Circle Map interactive activity "What is a family?" (spaces available to type into the map while PPT is being shown), a poem with animated photographs, an interactive double-bubble map for comparing/contrasting similarities and differences between families, 5 writing prompts with photographs to aid discussion of topics on families and responsibilities, a hook for introducing making smart choices, photo shots from a United Streaming video (from lesson plans in my TpT store) with discussion prompts under each one to assist instructor in knowing how to discuss each photo in the event that United Streaming is unavailable, Discussion guides on how to make smart decisions and being a good community leader (as well as a writing prompt on the latter), and an interactive four square activity on wants and needs. Also included are title slides to differentiate between week 1 and week 2 activities and essential questions for each week. Use this awesome Power Point along with the 2 week unit plans to make the plans digitally interactive - perfect for this generation's youngest learners!

I was hoping for a little more on needs and wants, it only had one slide and no supporting documents/slides. But I am sure I can use the rest of items in other lessons to follow.

I love that you included pictures of minority families in your powerpoint. I teach on a reservation in South Dakota, and with your permission, I will add for my use a picture of a Native American family for my children. That would be so good for them to see all different families and one or two of their own included.
