PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

First Person Hurricane Katrina Visual Diary with Facts and Information

Price: 52 pages X .10 = $5.20

This 52 page slide show tells the story of Hurricane Katrina using before and after photos taken by the Brown family in the days, weeks, months, and years following the storm. The setting is Bayou Liberty, Louisiana, about 30 miles north of New Orleans along Lake Pontchartrain. I developed this presentation to use with my own students when I realized they had all been born after the storm. Accounts were not first hand any longer so I thought a visual diary would be a good way to share this defining moment in our lives.

Available in both PDF and PowerPoint.

Just let me know what I can do to help you use my materials. Thanks, Patti

Thank you for your thoughtful presentation of this material. Used this in teaching "Saint Louis Armstrong Beach" which is a beautifully written young adult book about New Orleans and Katrina. Thank you!

This will be a great resource to show my students the devastation that occurred. Our textbook does not go into graphics. Thanks for putting this together as I know if had to be difficult.

This was a difficult task even after so long. The kids I teach today were not alive for the storm and already I could hear misconceptions as they spoke about it. That was my initial reason for making this presentation. I hope it works well for you. Please let me know if you need any help with the material. Thanks, Patti

I know this place well, this is my Aunt and cousins property and this destruction is heart breaking. This had to be difficult to put together but the information and visuals are great.
