Here's a great way to work on student's number sense for six. This kit includes color and blackline copies of the fish tank sorting mat and fish. Included in this kit is a recording sheet for writing down all the different combinations of six and a Fish Tank for Six booklet. Your students will have a blast finding all the combinations of six using two numbers. This goes perfectly with Common Core Standards or any state's math curriculum. This kit would be perfect for individual, partner or whole class groupings. You could project the sorting mat on your SMART or Promethean board and have the students come up and draw their own fish to show six. The possibilities are endless.
