Cut and laminate the fish containing words with sh digraphs. Place a paperclip on the fin of the fish. Use a magnetic fishing pole to fish for the words. As students "reel up their line", they will record their catches on the recoding sheet. This will help to increase fluency and word recognition of common words with sh digraphs. This is a very engaging literacy center for students to practice reading, writing, and spelling patterns.
This used a lot of ink due to the intense color of the fish.
My students just loved fishing!
It would be nice if the pages were editable to print other words or topics. Fishing is a great center activity.
Thanks for your suggestion! Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase the clipart in black and white. You may be able to print in black and white by adjusting the settings on your printer. I will consider this for future products :)
