With this unit your students will learn about many kinds of plants and how they grow. Start them off with a reproducible mini-book on the life cycle of a seed that discusses what is needed (sun, water, soil and time) in order to grow into a plant. Then have them plant a real seed in our reproducible greenhouse and watch it grow! They can write about this experience on their shaped stationery in the form of a leaf or a tree! There is also a selection of paper bag puppets: an evergreen tree, a palm tree, an oak, and a flower.
A second reproducible mini-book allows the students to color in leaves the changing colors of autumn. A giant-sized "puzzle-map" of a flower, complete with labels for the various parts (petal, stem, roots, leaf, etc.), fits perfectly on a piece of construction paper. We also include a flower numberline, a basket of flowers (perfect for Mother's Day!), and daisy bulletin board border!
There are many other activities, including picture and vocabulary flash cards and much more! Each page is available as a black & white reproducible as well as a full color sample.
