This 3 week unit teaches young children about popular elements/characteristics of folktales, compares Cinderella stories from around the world, and takes a look at fractured folktales. Each week's plan includes suggested text to read, as well as a chart to record information. The charts can be printed for each student or enlarged on a poster maker for use during class discussions. It also includes 2 writing center prompts and a seatwork paper to assess student understanding of folktale characteristics.
