This flipbook makes learning about (or reviewing) producers, consumers, and decomposers much more fun than with an ordinary worksheet. Copy the pages double-sided, fold lengthwise, and make two cuts between the vocabulary words. (Complete directions included.) Students will draw an example of the organism and then define the vocabulary word. This could be used as notes, practice, homework, or an assessment.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have taught 4th grade in Maryland for 8 years and 5th grade for 1 year. For manyyears, I was departmentalized teaching only Reading/Language Arts and Science. I actually enjoyed teaching grammar and learning about/using the 6+1 Trait method for writing. I also spent 2 years as a science resource teacher working with teachers and students in all elementary grades.
