This activity supports first grade common core standards in math.
It includes: directions, a common core standards "I can..." poster, and two activity sheets.
It is a fun and structured way for students to find ways to make a number (using addition and subtraction problems) and use an equation to write a story problem.
The common core standard listed in the packet are specific to first grade, but this activity would likely be useful in second grade as well.
