MOVIE, SKIT, CHOICE...OH MY! :) This extremely fun product was made to accompany the movie Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The movie does a wonderful job of incorporating several aspects of Greek Mythology, while this packet of four fabulous activities does a great job of incorporating social studies, higher-level thinking, and 21st Century Skills into entertainment! The product includes "notes to the teacher," a twenty question movie worksheet (with questions for before and during the viewing) and key, a Greek family-tree worksheet and key, a post-viewing differentiated assignment on Camp Half-Blood, and a Greek Newscast Skit assignment and rubrics.
These lessons can be done as stand-alone or together (for about 1 week's worth of activities). However you chose to incorporate the activities into your classroom....it's sure to "strike" excitement! :)
