I don't really know too much about the Mimio board. I would just suggest that you try out this freebie - http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Cupcake-Place-Value-SMART-BOARD-Game - or any other SB freebie here on TpT and see how it works and also talk with your tech person to see if they know. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get anything to download correctly except for the 2 PDF files. I followed your link for the unzipping program, and then followed your link for the smart board program download. The smart board program opens as a zip file, but then gives me an error, and unfortunately using the files online is not an option for me. I'm not really sure what to do from here.

This is a Smart Board resource, so you normally would need the Smart Notebook software that accompanies your Smart Board. The tech person at your school should have a key for this software in order for you to download it on your connecting computer. If you do not have an interactive board, your only option would be to open games through the website http://express.smarttech.com/#. This site provides you software that you can download to also play the games offline if need be. Hope this helps!

Hey, there! I don't have any experience with the Promethean, and the responses I've heard from others in general have been mixed - some can open Smart Board files, others can't. I'm sure this is basic info. for you, but here's a link for importing Smart Board files using ActivInspire - http://www.whiteboardblog.co.uk/2011/05/moving-between-iwb-platforms/. You can also upload and play Smart Board files through the Smart Tech site - http://express.smarttech.com/#. Hope this works for you!

Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity yet to work with a Promethean board, so I'm no help there. Do you have tech staff at your school that can help you. You can open any Smart Board file from this web link from any computer - http://express.smarttech.com/#.
Try that and see if it will work and see if there is support at your school for opening the files on your Promethean board.

Yes, of course! They are games made for the Smartboard. They work great in stations or you who can also play in whole groups as most games come with a scoreboard. Students interact by touching, dragging, writing, erasing, and more.

Hey, there! In my experience, I haven't seen my students have difficulty with this. However, I do make a point to introduce this alternative symbol and also the one for multiplication *. As this is what they would use on a computer, these tech-savvy kids pick it up rather fast. It then also makes a useful connection to fractions.

Hey, there! My husband and I love hiking! Maybe one day we'll make it to Yosemite :). Anyways, I unfortunately don't have any experience with the mimio and how to open SB files with it. I really need to start doing my research on all of these different interactive boards! What I would suggest is trying my three freebie SB files and seeing how they work. If all the functions work in all three games, then I believe you would be okay.
