I use Ed Emberley's Picture Pie to work with fractions in our room. Students will practice cutting circles and squares into fractions. Then they'll create a picture with the fractional pieces. Finally, they'll use the worksheet to add their fractions, which will require them to understand how fractions with different denominators relate to each other.

This download includes a page of directions with sample pictures and a printable. See the product images below.
