Students will read a short book about Charlie and his chocolate cake. He invites friends over to share this cake with him. Students will have 8 activities to complete that center around fraction understanding.
Activities 1-3 help them to be able to draw fractions
Activities 4-6 help them to be able to list from greatest to least and understand what the numerator and the denominator mean.
Activity 7 is a game for students to play
Activity 8 will lead students into understanding equivalent fractions
Included is a book worksheet to introduce students to 3 new vocab words and asks 2 questions about the book.
