Here is a fun worksheet for practicing adding fractions with like denominators. Kids solve the problems and then color the umbrella and raindrops based on the answers, which helps them catch some of their own mistakes. Fractions are so important that I'm always looking for more opportunities to get them to practice. This activity is both fun and meaningful. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started teaching in 1998. I worked as a fifth grade classroom teacher for 4 years, teaching math, English, science, and reading, then taught 3 years of middle school math, reading, and English, and for 6 years I worked as a math resource teacher in grades 2 and 4. I recently became principal of an elementary school.
