My students enjoyed this activity, but,I have a question - You have a section on the front page that says Class totals. What data did you have in mind that would be collected for this specific table?

The Class Totals are to compare the results to the group totals. So, for example, if there were 20 red in a bag, how many red where counted by the entire class (as a fraction of the total M&Ms the class had). Compare the results and a discussion can be had about probability and the more times an experiment is conducted, the closer the results are to the true figures. Thank you for purchasing it and I'm glad your students enjoyed it. I have used it several times and the students really like any math with candy!

I have taught Math for 11 years with experience in Gifted/Talented and English as a Second Language. My teaching experience includes 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade in the public school sytem. I teach Algebra 1, Algebra 1 lab and TAKS tutoring right now.
