This "SCOOP"er fun center set will have your students so excited about working with fractions!
In this 35-page set, you will receive 3 games, 1 tasty worksheet, and 1 "craftivity"- you may have seen the craftivity on my blog... this copy has been jazzed up a bit and I've added a cone, bowl, and ice cream scoops...
*Serve it Up!- students choose a customer and spin a spinner to take ice cream scoops to build their customer order.
*Fraction Match Up- students play a memory game to match fractions of chocolate scoops with their fraction representation.
*4-in-a-row students play a Connect Four style game and write fractions when complete.
*Ice Cream Fractions craftivity- students build an ice cream sundae or cone by designing ice cream scoops and then write the fraction of each scoop.
*Sweet Vowel Fractions- worksheet for students to write fractions to show the number of vowels in an ice cream word.
This was so much fun to help teach fractions! I had some of your activities in my math centers during our unit on fractions and my kids had so much fun, while learning about fractions (a topic that sometimes makes me want to pull my hair out!) Thanks for making teaching fractions FUN!
