This extension activity was created to go along with the book Freckle Juice by Judy Bloom. The students are asked to make predictions, answer comprehension questions, make an interpretation that discovers the author's purpose and to write a summary of the book. The types of activities that the students are asked to do are the same components that are required to pass level 28 on the DRA2 test. I use this book with my high first graders at the end of the year, but it could be used by student's in 2nd and 3rd grade also.
