UPDATED DECEMBER 2012
I am loving our Elf on the Shelf named "Elfie"! Here are some FREE activities I made just to thank you for following my TPT store!
*This packet includes an Elf class book. Have the class write letters to the elf.
*Small letters I use in a post office center. Have the students write letters to Santa. The magical elf can deliver them.
*Christmas list: Have students write out a 3 items they want for Christmas & 3 reasons why they deserve their gifts.
*Elf on the Shelf writing prompts.
*Bucket filler sheet.
Enjoy!

We had so much fun with our classroom Elf on the Shelf this year. I saw this after Christmas, but will be sure to put it in our December tub for use next year. Cute ideas that all involve writing...YEAH! Thanks for posting it as a freebie!

Very cute product, and thank you so much for sharing! I was, however, unable to use it because "If I was" is not gramatically correct. You may want to change to "If I were," which is correct.

I've used this packed a lot this year. I only gave B+ on quality because the fonts on some don't print out as they appear. However, I love this packet for my second graders and their elf Toby.
Thanks so much for sharing. I'm going to glue myself to your blog--this is my first year to have Elf on a Shelf to visit my room. My daughter had the little guy at her house. She gave me the book, elf and everything (even a little skirt if it turns out to be a girl) for my classroom. I might need a little help linking up with you, but I definitely want to! Thanks!

Thank you for making this activity (Elf on a Shelf). I am going to give him a try.. I can hardly wait for one of my regular "sleepers" to fall asleep in class..lol

What great ideas to incorporate elf in the classroom! Love it!
These are very cute. I love the lettering/font you use and they are very colourful. I do want to tell you, though, that it is "If I were a" not "If I was a". The latter is not grammatically correct.
Thank you! Elf on the Shelf AND bucket filling! Perfect.

Those are great ideas! What a nice way to make your shelf elf more "interactive". Mine tells me he just loves to be included in classroom activities. Of course, he speaks in elf language which only he and I can understand... Thank you!
Have you run into any parents or students who dispute your using of an elf or anything Santa related? I think this would be fun to do... but then I think of students who don't believe in Santa, or aren't celebrating for religious reasons.
I am a first grade teacher & absolutely love my job! This is my 8th year teaching first grade. I used to teach kindergarten for 2 years as well. Check out my blog http://www.seustastic.blogspot.com for TONS of ideas & freebies!
