Isn't John 3:16 just the best? It is the core of all that we want our children to learn and the basis for Christian life. My first graders learned all about God's gift of salvation to them and then wrote "Thank You Jesus! Love,_____" and signed their names. I read the story of Jesus death and resurrection from a children's Bible with pictures. Then I shared the idea of the ABC prayer with my children. A=Accept that you are a sinner. B=Believe that Jesus loves you and died for you. C=Commit your life to Jesus and live for Him! You may wish to purchase my ABC posters to use with this lesson. My students were so excited to pray this prayer repeating my words after me. After this they excitedly wrote thank you's to Jesus!
