Ideally, students would fill out one for each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring).

Great resource as always, Rachel! This will make teaching the concept and helping the students set realistic goals SOO easy! Heck, I might even use it for myself. Maybe it would keep me on track! ;)

Short and simple...just perfect for my 4th graders. Have been wanting to have my students give serious thought to goal setting, this appears to be exacty what I have been looking for...thank!

When I did this with my students they usually chose things that were important to them personally. Some examples include learning a new skateboard trick, keeping a bedroom clean, saving a certain amount of money (for a computer game, if I am remembering correctly). Whereas kids may not be as motivated to set academic or behavior goals, they might be motivated to set personal ones, so I thought it could be empowering for them to see how they can use goal setting in their personal lives.

My passion is creating high quality, ready-to-use teaching resources. I believe our future depends on our children being able to think creatively and critically, so I incorporate higher level thinking skills into almost everything I create.
Most of my experience is in gifted education grades 1-4. But I have also taught regular education to all elementary grade levels. I've taught workshops on writing and have had extensive experience teaching elementary science as well as technology.
