This is an interactive PowerPoint where students practice their oral French by listening to pattern sentences and repeating them. This particular file practices French prepositions and house vocabulary. Students follow up their oral practice with written worksheets to help consolidate what they have learned. This file asks students to listen to and repeat sentences about a girl looking for her cat throughout her house.
There are 30 slides as follows:
Slides 3-7: Kitchen and dans, sur, a cote de.
Slides 8-14: Living room and dans, sur, sous, a cote de, devant.
Slides 15-20: Dining Room and dans, a cote de, en arriere de
Slides 21-26: Bathroom and dans, sur, a cote de.
Slides 27-31: Bedroom and dans, sur, a cote de, en haut de, vers
Also included, in the PDF file, are follow up worksheets
which ask students to make sentences using the same images as the Powerpoint as well as to describe their own home using prepositions.
In the Powerpoint, the words in the sentences appear as they are being said, allowing students to read as they repeat. The PowerPoint is designed for students who have a bit of French already and can be used for French Immersion or FSL classes. It uses repetition to reinforce new vocabulary and sentence structures and can be used as a whole class lesson, as individual practice or for homework.
