This is a fun way for students to practice or review regular er, ir and re verb conjugations in French. The activity is magic squares. There are 9 squares in each grid and each contains a conjugated form of an er, ir or re verb in French. Below the grid are 9 subject/infinitive verb pairs. The student writes the number of the subject/verb with the correct verb form in the grid. If done correctly, each row, column, and diagonal add up to 15. Students can check this when done. The activity then switches to having the subject/verb in the grid with the verb forms with the numbers. There are 24 puzzles total on 12 pages. Great as a class starter or for a substitute.

I have been teaching World Language (French, Spanish, Italian) at the elementary, middle and high school levels for 16 years. I regularly present foreign language teaching methodology workshops at state, regional and national conferences and in teacher preparation programs at various universities. I have spent time volunteering in schools in impoverished areas of Nicaragua and a portion of the money earned through TPT is used to buy school supplies (pencils, paper, books) for students at the Panama School in La Concha, Nicaragua.
