This is great interactive speaking activity for students learning numbers in French. Each student receives a sheet with 12 digits on it. They also each get a sheet with 11 numbers that they must locate among their classmates by asking them if they have a particular number. There are examples of how to ask and answer the questions on the top of the page. If a student responds affirmatively (stating that he/she does in fact have the number being requested), the asker writes down the name of the student. This is great way to get kids practicing the pronunciation of the numbers. It is also great practice for understanding then orally. This activity is easily modified for any language.

I have been teaching World Language (French, Spanish, Italian) for 15 years. I spent my first 4 years out of college teaching middle and high school French and Italian before moving on to a Charter School where I taught French for 6 years. I have spent the last 5 years teaching elementary and middle school French and Spanish. I regularly present foreign language teaching methodology workshops at state, regional and national conferences and in teacher preparation programs at various universities.
