Learning history CAN be fun! After reading about the French and Indian War, divide students into small groups. Each group is responsible for creating their own personalized game, including game pieces, directions, game cards, and answer key. By creating their own questions, they are utilizing higher level thinking skills. It is an incredible review and study tool. Students can get as creative as they want with the rules for their game. After games are finished, each group should play their own game. Then have each group play another group's game and evaluate it. ***I can't get a thumbnail posted to this site. The game board is a large picture of a beaver with a start and finish, and multiple circles winding around the beaver. The game pieces are made from clipart of beavers, soldiers, paw prints, cannon, fur hat.
