Even if you don't want to use the whole exam, there are many multiple choice and matching questions that could be useful on an array of tests and quizzes. This exam is built around the themes of the Civil Rights and Women's Movements and tests on the following literature: "Standing Tall," a section of "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings," "I Have a Dream" (speech), "Glory and Hope" (speech), "The Road Not Taken" (poem), and "Song of the Open Road" (poem). This exam has vocabulary (matching, context clues, sentence writing), basic plot and character questions (matching and multiple choice), and parts of speech (matching and multiple choice). It ends with a writing section on "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" and "Standing Tall."

I taught for a year at the high school level (English/Reading/Study Skills) and have been substitute teaching this past year for middle school as well as high school. Although I am still technically a "beginning teacher", I have been told that I am very creative in my approach. I believe that you will see this reflected in my assignments and assessments. I currently am in a Masters program for English Education and am further developing my teaching skills. ** IF YOU BUY AN ITEM, PLEASE RATE IT AS WELL.
